Stackstone is engineered with highly consistent dimensional tolerances that allow pieces to align tightly with minimal mortar joint spacing, creating a refined, contemporary aesthetic while maintaining natural stone surface texture. The manufacturing process produces stones with parallel top and bottom edges and uniform thickness, enabling them to stack in continuous horizontal runs without the gaps and offsets inherent to irregular stone profiles. This dimensional precision separates Stackstone from traditional fieldstone or random-pattern installations. The tight joint spacing — often 1/8 inch or less — emphasizes the linear geometry and creates a clean, ordered appearance that suits modern architectural styles.
